About the Property
Looking for a home to swoon over? A place with high style, charm, coziness, and a flexible floor plan?
About Me:
I was born in 1941, designed with timeless character, and thoughtfully set back from the street to create a deep driveway and a welcoming front yard. My outdoor spaces are beautifully landscaped with an irrigation system, lighting, custom-built redwood raised beds, and Connecticut full-range flagstone.
My architecture nods to the elegance of the Art Deco era, with curved front porch railings, a vintage chevron-patterned front door, and graceful rounded corners in the kitchen.
My living room is a sanctuary bathed in morning light, thanks to a bank of windows that frame the lush canopy of a mature Camphor tree—a serene and stunning focal point.
For over 15 years, I’ve been lovingly cared for and modernized by stewards who honored my vintage soul while enhancing my functionality and charm.
The Heart of the Home: My Kitchen
In collaboration with interior designer Heather Cleveland, my kitchen was transformed into a warm, welcoming space where memories and meals were made. A stunning great room was created by opening the wall between the kitchen and dining room, complete with a built-in breakfast nook. Some highlights include:
Floors: Random plank hardwood floors were installed to seamlessly match my original oak flooring
Cabinetry & Countertops: Replaced cabinetry, (Douglah Designs cabinet design) Caesarstone quartz countertops, and a large island with a secondary sink
Appliances: Bertazzoni 5-burner gas range, LG refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher, and a Zephyr chimney wall-mount hood
Design Details: Heath tile backsplash and Schoolhouse Electric drawer pulls
This space was designed for connection—a haven for two cooks to prep and cook and a natural gathering place for friends and family. From homemade ice cream with fresh fruit from the Montclair Farmer’s Market to culinary experiments inspired by local favorites like Cholita Linda’s tacos and Bellanico’s beet ravioli, my kitchen has been the backdrop for countless cherished moments and celebrations.
